On Monday, the 23rd, Don was told that the second painting at Taos Art Museum, Morning Meadow, had sold at the Russian Night in Taos event. This was exciting news for Don, as he had deeply wanted to have his work in the exhibit.
This morning, news came that Don’s painting, Hilltop Road, has been accepted into the Kansas Park Trust exhibit, Visions of the Flint Hills. This is another show that Don had expressly desired to be in.
Finally, the Davis Gallery, in Sheridan, Wyoming, wants to hang Don’s work. There are still details to finalize, but he is certain it can be a good situation for all parties.

Didnt go to Taos. It was turning into a more expensive trip than I wanted, and the weather didnt look good for the drive down. Instead, I went to the opening of “Colorado and the West” at David Cook Fine Arts. The show features several pieces recently released by the estate of Charles Partridge Adams. There are also some works from John F. Carlson, Ethel Magafan, and Sven Birger Sandzen, among others. If you’re in town, you should go.
