Western Light and Russian Night in Taos

Western Light
Western Light

That’s right, buckaroos (which I believe is derived from the Spanish vaqueros ), this is titled Western Light. We were returning from dinner at one of our favorite Mexican places and the light slanted across this broad field, just touching the tops of the trees.

It’s 12×16, oil on masonite- $575

Much as I like this one, it is not one of the pieces that was chosen to hang in the Taos Art Museum.  Yes, that’s what I said. Two of my paintings have been selected for Russian Night in Taos - an auction to benefit the Taos Art Museum. Even better is that it’s held at the former home of Nicolai Fechin.  For more on that, you need to click on the link to the NEWS page. From there, you can follow links that will take you to the TAM website.
