For the third year in a row, Don has been honored by his peers with an invitation to participate in
Nomadas Del Arte'
a unique and prestigious event.

This promises to be a fabulous show, with William Scott Jennings, Karen Vance, Ann Templeton and other well known artists already on the roster.

"I am more than grateful for this opportunity. To be included in this kind of company is uplifting and humbling at the same time."

Don Barnes lives and works in the Rocky Mountain Region. His work has been shown at galleries in New Mexico and Colorado. He often works with other well known plein air artists.

"Past artists like John F. Carlson and Charles Partridge Adams hold as much inspiration for me as living artists."

As you browse the site, you will understand why the popularity of Don's art is growing so rapidly. Not only does he draw inspiration from other artists, he pushes traditional lines with unconventional techniques and approaches to his subject.

"My purpose is not to copy nature. There are cameras for that. I try to pass on to the viewer something of the feeling that led me to paint that scene."
